We would like to thank you in advance for supporting our mission. It is because of you, our kind and generous donor, that we are able to continue to assist children who have cancer and their families.

Candlelighters accepts donations of new or used items such as clothing, toys, furniture and other miscellaneous items. These are sold at Savers Thrift Stores. The income generated from these sales fund a wide range of free programs and services for our families.
You can call the donation center to schedule a convenient home pick-up or drop off your donations at the Candlelighters donation bins located in various locations throughout the El Paso and Las Cruces areas. Donations can also be dropped off at our donation center. Large items should be dropped off at any Savers location.
Volunteering
Candlelighters volunteers are the heart of our organization providing essential services. They read stories to children in the hospital, drive parents and children to and from appointments, bring food and toys or collect donations. During camp they share their special talents from teaching arts and craft to hiking or horseback riding. They teach classes and workshops. They serve on our Board of Directors, Committees and special events. We are very thankful for the generosity of our volunteers. Come join this team of volunteers and share your special talents. Being a part of a child’s reason to smile brings as much joy to the giver as to the receiver!
The following are areas where we need volunteers:
Helping Hands: Volunteers visit the children in the hospital during the week. They often take them toys, blankets and beanies. Every last Thursday of the month, Helping Hands takes pizza to the children in pediatric oncology and their parents. The children really look forward to their company!
Childcare: Help with childcare is needed during therapeutic workshops. Volunteers are needed to assist with the educational activities that are offered to the children while their parents are in workshops.
Office Work: Volunteers help by answering phones, filing and inputting data.
Transportation: Drivers are needed to transport cancer patients to and from their medical appointments.
Special Events: Volunteers are needed to help coordinate the various events that are offered to the children and their families.
