"It is with an extraordinarily heavy heart that I am terribly sad to say that Daniel has passed. Yet my heart also rejoices knowing heaven is celebrating his return & he will never be in pain again. This is fresh news & I do not have any other information at this time. I want to be respectful of Daniel's family & give them space. Please continue your prayers for his family & friends. Daniel was & remains a very special young man whose smile brought such warmth & light to everyone. He told me he only wanted to be able to bring comfort & help other kids dealing with cancer or other pain. We echo his prayers for all children everywhere. Thank you all for your prayers & words of encouragement all this time. I know it meant so much to Daniel & his dad. His dad, Danny would probably like it if you all would leave comments to encourage him & his family in the days to come. God bless you Daniel! You are loved & we will meet you one day on that side of heaven." 

From all of us at Candlelighters we would like to send our prayers and condolences to Daniel's friends and family. He lived a short life, but it was a strong one that left behind a lot of smiles and inspiration.
