Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to all Majors
- Primary criterion for eligibility is that the recipients pursue a course of study that renders them immediately employable after graduation.
- Scholarships must be used for a two or four year degree at an accredited college or university.
- To qualify for the scholarship program you must be economically disadvantaged.
- MUST BE A CANCER SURVIVOR (Must obtain written documentation from physician)
- Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better at the end of the high school year or last college semester attended. (submit latest unofficial transcript)
- Must be enrolled as a full time student (12 credit hours or more) or part time (summer) at college or university of choice
- Student MUST volunteer in at least 3 Candlelighter events for the year and become a mentor/friend to one of our children with cancer.
- Completion of a 1 page typed (double spaced) narrative answering either one of the following topics:
“Why should you be considered for this scholarship.”
“My university experiences.”
“I chose the course of study I am in because...”
